Nixon has accounted for four touchdowns in each of his previous two starts and the Cajuns have some nice matchups ahead on the schedule after a Week 9 bye.
Quinton Flowers, QB-South Florida
Flowers has accounted for three touchdowns in three consecutive games and has at least one rushing touchdown in each of those games. The sophomore quarterback has at least 14 carries in five of his last six games and has totaled 199 rushing yards the past two weeks.
Jarrett Stidham, QB-Baylor
Starting quarterback Seth Russell suffered a fractured bone in his neck and Stidham is the next man up. Given the uncertainty around Russell’s injury and the fantasy potential running the Baylor offense, Stidham will be the most sought after player on this week’s waiver wire.
Jordan Johnson, RB-Buffalo
As long as Anthone Taylor continues to nurse an ankle injury, Johnson will carry the load in the Bulls’ offensive backfield. There is also a quick turnaround this week as Buffalo travels to Miami, Ohio for a Thursday night game.
Soso Jamabo, RB-UCLA
Jamabo ran for 79 yards and a touchdown in relief of Paul Perkins, who left Saturday’s game against Cal with what is now being described as a bone bruise. Even though Perkins did not sustain ligament damage to his knee, there is no timeline on his return and the Bruins have a Week 9 matchup at home against Colorado.
Malachi Dupre, WR-LSU
Dupre has at least 70 receiving yards and a touchdown in three consecutive games and has been providing the Tigers’ offense with big plays when teams load up to stop Heisman candidate RB Leonard Fournette.
