Waiver Wire--Week 10
Week 10 was the week of injured quarterbacks, which is unsettling to many fantasy owners as we head into the money weeks (12 &1 13) of most fantasy leagues. Some players on this list may be claimed out of necessity, while some could be horded to keep them away from a future opponent.
Ryker Fyfe, QB-Nebraska
Fyfe is unlikely to be a waiver target in full-FBS formats, but for fantasy owners that lost Tommy Armstrong in Power 5 leagues, Fyfe may be a necessity.
Austin Wilson, QB-Syracuse
Wilson was not very effective when he relieved starter Eric Dungey on Saturday at Clemson, but he will likely step in as the starter if Dungey cannot play this weekend at home against North Carolina State.
Jake Hubenak, QB-Texas A&M
In Saturday’s 35-28 loss at Mississippi State, Hubenak passed for 222 yards and two touchdowns in relief of injured starter Trevor Knight, who may not be ready in time for Saturday’s game against Ole Miss.
John Urzua, QB-Middle Tennessee
Starting quarterback Brent Stockstill left Saturday’s game against UTSA with an injury to his non-throwing arm and early reports suggest that Stockstill is unlikely to play this week at Marshall.
Jason Pellerin, QB-Ole Miss
Jason Pellerin, a freshman, should take over at quarterback after the Rebels lost Chad Kelly for the remainder of the season with a torn ACL.
Tion Green, RB-Cincinnati
Teammate Mike Boone left Saturday’s game against BYU with an injury, so if Boone is unable to play this week, Green could be worth a roster spot in Week 11.
Alexander Mattison, RB-Boise State
Mattison is not on this list because something happened to starter Jeremy McNichols, but anyone in a keeper league with an eye on 2017 should add the freshman in case McNichols leaves for the NFL.
